With Spring right around the corner and several beach trips coming up I’ve started shopping for light weight sweaters, dresses, shorts, and sandals. Nordstrom has an amazing selection of Spring styles in right now. I’ve been stocking up on light, springy sweaters and Nordstrom has so many to choose from right now. A few weeks ago I spotted this cropped blush sweater in Nordstrom and fell in love instantly! I’m loving anything blush colored (really any muted colors) right now and the bell-sleeves add the perfect boho-chic touch. It’s the perfect transition piece into Spring! I paired it with some distressed boyfriend jeans (these are sold out but I linked similar here) and dressed the look up a bit with some simple nude strappy heels. These heels have been my go-to Spring/Summer heel and they literally go with everything + they’re under 100. I would definitely recommend them if you’re looking for an affordable neutral heel.
Darek and I are heading to California for the weekend tomorrow for a little getaway and I’m so excited. I have some work to do while I’m there but it will be so fun to stay in Laguna Beach and have some alone time and just get some r&r. I’ll definitely be posting while we’re there so be sure to follow along on Instagram and I’m planning on doing a post about our trip when we get back too! Stay tuned, Babes. XO
Valentine’s Day has always been one of my favorite Holidays. I love celebrating love. I always loved giving Valentines to all of my friends in elementary school and having a class Valentine’s party and not much has changed. Since the girls were tiny, I’ve always given them little Valentine’s gift baskets filled with candy and little toys and candy hearts. The same goes for my friends. I love having a night out to celebrate “Galentine’s Day” with my girlfriends!
If you’ve been following me for a while you probably seen me with my friend Sarah a lot. We have been friends for so long and we used to be neighbors until she and her family moved to Nashville last year. It’s been hard and definitely an adjustment not seeing her as much. So this past week I was so excited because she was actually in town staying at the Le Meridian hotel in downtown Indy and we decided to have a little “Galentine’s Day” celebration! We ordered a heart shaped pizza from Papa Johns we actually ate it before we could get a picture of it, LOL! Had a little party in our hotel room. Now that I’m a mom, it’s so nice to get away sometimes and just hang out with my girl friends. We had so much fun just hanging out, goofing off and catching up on life!
It’s so much fun putting together little thoughtful “Galentine’s Day” gifts filled with nail polish, lip gloss, or face masks. This doesn’t have to be expensive and it’s so easy to do on a budget. My family has grocery shopped at Walmart for years (It’s probably my Dad’s favorite store, LOL) I always hit up the bath/beauty department when I’m there to stock up on all my favorite budget-friendly beauty products. This lipgloss has been one of my favorites for YEARS and it compares with any high-end gloss I’ve ever tried, it applies so smoothly and stays for a long time- best part is it’s under $10! This nail polish is one of my favorites and the shade “Ballet Slipper” and it’s the shade I have on my nails right now. I love it because it’s the perfect nude/pink, especially for Valentine’s Day! This Loreal eye shadow palette is GORGEOUS and similar to higher-end palettes I own but so much more affordable and the colors look good on any skin tone and makes the perfect gift.
A few more of my affordable faves I’m loving right now from Walmart are these Revlon matte lip creams, this Batiste Dry Shampoo (I’ve used this for years and truly love it more than expensive brands) and this NYX Makeup setting spray! Walmart also has tons of adorable Valentine’s balloons and gift bags to add the perfect finishing touch to any Galentine’s Day celebration! XO
Happy Wednesday, Loves! Today we’re on our way to Utah for a little Mountain getaway. Darek is from Utah so usually travel there a couple of times a year to visit his family and ski/snowboard in Park City. This year the Sundance Film Festival will be going on while we’re in Park City so that should be fun! Utah is just so gorgeous and we always have the best time. The girls are excited to see Grandma and Grandpa and ride horses and spend time with cousins!
Anyways, I’m super excited to share today’s post! Both of my outfits in today’s post are from one of my favorite stores, Evereve. Evereve has been one of my go-to stores for a while now and you’ve probably heard me mention it if you’ve been following me for the past year. If you haven’t heard of them, they are an on-trend boutique style store and they carry so many brands I love like Free People, Michael Stars, Chaser, the list goes on! They have several locations throughout the mid-west…and they cater to Moms! How cool is that?! Evereve is also having an amaaaazing denim sale right now. All jeans are 15% off now through January 21st! I wanted to showcase 2 different looks for this post and style a pair of distressed jeans and a pair of classic dark wash skinny jeans. Both styles are an essential part of any wardrobe both of these are on sale! I love that Evereve carries so many of my favorite denim brands like Hudson, Blank NYC, and 7 For All Mankind. Now that Christmas is over, it’s the perfect time to take advantage of sales and get a little something for yourself ;). Denim can be one of the hardest things to buy and I know I’ve struggled with finding jeans that have a flattering fit and aren’t too low. I recently found 2 pairs of jeans I love from Evereve.
These Hudson jeans I styled in the are the perfect pair of casual denim. I LOVE the rips in the knees and I love that they are just lightly distressed and don’t have holes everywhere. They are an ankle length which is so nice to pair with booties or sandals in the warmer months. The wash is a great medium shade and perfect for transitioning into Spring! The fit of these is amazing and I’m wearing a 26 in these as well.
Look #2. I’m constantly running after Brie and Bryn and getting in and out of the car so I love that these 7 For All Mankind jeans are high-rise and have some stretch to them. I love the super dark wash and I also love that they don’t have any distressing. I have several pairs of ripped denim but it’s always good to have a basic dark wash denim without distressing for times when you want to look a little more dressed up. They fit true to size, I’m 5’7 and I’m wearing a size 26.
