Holiday Gift Guide (under $100) for Her

Happy Thursday, Babes! Today I’m sharing some gift ideas for the women you love in your life! Even though Thanksgiving is next week, I love to get a jump start on Holiday shopping early so I’m not stressed out at the last minute. I’ve already bought a few gifts from Nordstrom for my Mom and sister I know they will love! Nordstrom has such an amazing selection of gifts for the entire family! If for some reason your loved one needs to exchange or return an item, I love that Nordstrom has an amazing return policy and the best customer service! Whether you’re shopping for your Mom, sister, friend, or daughter these gift options are sure to please! I’ve listed all of my favorite finds below for y’all! The best part is all of these gorgeous gifts are under $100! XO

1. Cozy Pom Throw- How gorgeous is this cozy blanket?! It’s perfect for the Holidays and I love the poms! My Mom is always cold (like mother like daughter) so this will be perfect for her!

2. Knit Beanies- You really can’t go wrong with a cozy beanie!  I love these options here and here!  They are both $26 or under and feel high-end IMO.  I actually bought both of these for myself because I love them so much, LOL.

3. Soft PJs- I have always been a huge fan of pjs and loungewear! My favorite thing to do is to come home and change into my comfy clothes. I love these pj sets as a gift and you can’t beat the price!  I own this set and it’s all I want to wear at home!  The cute Holiday prints make these the perfect gift option.  All of these sets are under $75!

4. Cozy Scarves- These scarves are so cute and cozy! I LOVE to buy scarves as gifts, I’ve been doing this for my Mom and friends for years.  I wore this plaid infinity scarf last week (in the pics above) and I also love this scarf.  Both are only $26!  When you’re buying gifts, sometimes clothing is tricky to buy as a gift because you’re not sure what size is correct but scarves are one size fits all!

5. Beauty Gift Sets- You guys already know I’m a huge beauty product junky and my Mom, sister, and most of my friends are too. This Bobby Brown makeup set is GORGEOUS and includes 8 stunning eyeshadows and blush. This Glamglow mask set is the perfect option for anyone and so luxurious. I’ve been using the original GlamGlow mask for years and it’s amazing. It gets your pores SO clean and leaves my skin glowing.

6. Cozy cardigan- How cute is this cardi?! I own the cream version and it’s so soft and cozy! I love that it comes in several different color options and the fabric is so comfy and stretchy.

A few more Gift Ideas I’m Loving (all under $100)…

Brynleigh Kate Turns 5!!

Yesterday our sweet Brynleigh turned 5!  I seriously can’t believe she’s 5, you guys.  She still seems so little to me, she will always be my sweet baby! Brynleigh fills our lives with so much love and joy.  She has the funniest personality- if you follow me on Instagram Stories you’ve seen how she keeps us laughing everyday.  She’s the sweetest sister and is always so concerned with Brielle’s feelings. She wanted to pick out an American Girl doll yesterday for her birthday so we went to the store and the whole time she would point at things and say “Brielle would love this!” or “We should get this for Brielle…” – she’s seriously such an Angel. We’re having a little party this weekend with her friends (she insisted on Chuck-E-Cheese- lol!) but we had a family dinner last night with my parents to celebrate. We had so much fun and Brynleigh was loving all the attention! 😉
We are big birthday people in our house and love to make a big deal about birthdays so we’ve pretty much been celebrating all week!  A few days ago we had a lunch date with my friend Shelly at one of our favorite little bakeries in Indy, the Cake Bake Shop.  It’s the CUTEST little cake shop and it’s decorated so girly so of course the girls love it.  I wanted to spend some one-on-one time with Brynleigh for her Birthday. We had the best time.  I think she downed half of a giant piece of red velvet cake!  She cracks me up.  The Holidays are getting closer and I recently picked up some cute new things for the girls from Nordstrom including this darling tulle dress she wore to our Birthday lunch.   These adorable leggings are so soft and I love that they are extra thick for the colder months.  Indiana has cold winters so I like to dress the girls in clothes that are made with quality, thicker fabric so they will be warm!  I’m also DYING over these rose gold metallic flats with the pom-poms!!  They will be SO cute for our family Christamas card photos and for church.  Both of our outfit details from Nordstrom are listed below! XO

Styling My Girls + Halloween Traditions

Happy Halloween! The girls have been looking forward to today for weeks and they are SO happy it’s finally here. They’ve changed their minds about costumes about 20 times (any moms relate??) but I think we finally decided on a Fairy princess (Brielle) and a Unicorn (Brynleigh).

When it comes to styling my girls I love to coordinate their looks. Sometimes I dress them in matching outfits but I usually just choose pieces with colors & prints that pair well together as apposed to full on matching.  You guys already know when it comes to kids’ fashion Nordstrom is one of my favorite places to shop for the girls. The kids’ clothes are always on-trend and Nordstrom carries all the brands we love and I have dressed the girls in for years. How cute is this polka dot dress I found a few weeks ago for Brielle?! This is a dress I would totally use for her in family pictures!  Mixing prints is one of my favorite trends in kids’ fashion right now. I love to mix plaids, stripes or polka dots together for a fun, funky look for the girls. These striped leggings are so cute & classic and add a fun pop to any outfit, Brynleigh actually picked these out herself!  The girls are getting to an age now where they have opinions and it’s so fun to see them start to add their own personal style to what they wear. 🙂

In honor of Halloween I thought it would be fun to share some of our families Halloween traditions! I hope you all have a fun & safe Halloween!! XO

  1. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow hayride at Conner Prairie – This is a tradition my family started when I was little here in Indy. If you follow me on Instagram you probably saw that we went a few nights ago! It’s the cutest Fall-type Festival in Indy that’s totally themed around The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. It’s every weekend in October leading up to Halloween. It’s so much fun and not too scary for little kids. The girls love to go every year! They have face painting, tons of food and snacks, a puppet show, Halloween karaoke, it’s a blast! There’s even a hayride where the “headless horseman” chases you at the end over a covered bridge (this may be too scary for toddlers but there are always a lot of young children on the ride and the girls love it!) .
  2. Going to an apple orchard- This is more of a Fall tradition in general but it’s one of our favorites! The girls love to go and pick apples and there’s a local orchard here in Indy that is so cute! They have a petting zoo and the cutest little shop where you can buy all types of apple goodies!
  3. Pumpkin Carving- This is a must and something my dad “Dad Dad” is usually in charge of. The girls LOVE to help carve the pumpkin and take all the “guts” out, as Brynleigh would say lol.
  4. Watching “It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” – Another tradition from my side of the family.  My Dad has always been super into Halloween and I remember watching this movie every year with my family! It’s the cutest cartoon and now the girls love to watch it with us. 🙂
  5. Halloween cookies- After trick-or-treating the girls and I love to bake sugar cookies and decorate them with different Halloween sprinkles and decorations. I usually make homemade hot chocolate to go along with it (I just look up “easy hot chocolate recipe” on Pinterest and follow that!)

What are some of your favorite Halloween traditions?? XO
