Striped Knotted Tee

After I had Brielle I remember my mom said to me, “Now that you’re a mom you need to buy a lot of hair ties!”…She was implying that I didn’t have a lot of time to fix my hair or get ready now that I was a mom– which I’ve found to be totally true, ha!  There are SO many days when I just don’t have the time to take an hour to get ready so I just throw my hair up in a topknot, throw on a cute tee and jeans and I’m out the door #momlife. Of course I love to get dressed up and I have days when I like to take my time and curl my hair and plan my outfit down to the last accessory but sometimes it’s just not realistic. That’s probably why half of my closet is t-shirts, haha. I love this knotted striped tee SO much.  It’s available in several color options and how cute are the ruffle sleeves? These skinny jeans have been on repeat lately and I can’t get over the fact they’re only $64. You guys already know I love these wedges. They are seriously more comfortable than some of my flats and I wear them a ton during the Summer. Also, I’ve had a ton of requests so I’m filming a topknot tutorial and it will be up very soon!

My cute Mother-in-law flew in today to stay with us for a few days and we’re so excited to have her.  The girls love her so much and she’s honestly one of my best friends.  We have so much fun together. We are heading to Brielle’s end of year Kindergarten program tomorrow. I seriously can NOT believe she’s almost in First Grade–what?! So crazy and sad and happy all at the same time, haha.  Thanks so much for stopping by! XO

Casual Embroidered Dress (on SALE)

Happy Monday, Babes!  I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. We had Brielle’s Birthday party on Saturday and it was so much fun.  She insisted on having it at her favorite place, Chuck-E-Cheese 😉 — why do kids love that place so much?!  We had cake and pizza and she had the best time running around and playing games with all of her friends.  They were so cute to watch and the day turned out perfectly.  I still can NOT believe she’s 6!  We love her SO much and she is just such a sweet & special little girl and a blessing to our family.

Ok, about this look!   I wore this outfit last week to lunch with my good friend Shelly.  She’s also the face behind the camera and takes all of my amazing pictures for the blog.  She is seriously one of the sweetest, kindest people I’ve ever met and we always have SO much fun laughing and hanging out together.  I’m so thankful for her friendship!  I’m loving everything about this dress for Summer, from the embroidery to the pretty color (it’s also available in white and black).  It’s also on SALE right now!  I tied this denim jacket around my waist to give the dress a little more shape and paired it with my go-to booties.  Also, I’ve gotten so many requests for a topknot tutorial so I’ll be posting one very soon!  Thanks for reading, Loves!  XO

Everyday Casual Chic Style

Hi friends! I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter weekend! Today I’m sharing an everyday casual look that pretty much defines my personal dress code. When it comes to my style, comfort and simplicity are key for me. I love to look put together but, as a mom of young children, comfort plays a huge role in my everyday wear. Of course I love to dress up sometimes but I have always been a jeans and a tee kind of girl. As my mother would say, “Less is more” ;). I adore people like Kendall Jenner who can rock a basic tee, jeans, and booties and she’s still the most fashionable person in the room. I would say the term “casual chic” definitely describes my personal style. I always reach for effortless pieces that can be styled several different ways.

When I saw this strappy tank in Express last week I knew I had to have it. Express has sooo many cute and affordable Spring styles right now and I definitely went a little crazy when I was shopping there last week. I love that this tank can easily be dressed up or down depending on the occasion and the criss-cross strappy detail in the front is so cute! I layered this adorable distressed cardigan over it. These jeans, you guys– oh man, I’m obsessed! The fit is so flattering and slimming and I’m not exaggerating when I say I’ve worn them almost everyday since I bought them. They have quite a bit of stretch so they are amazingly comfy and I LOVE the rips and how effortless they look. Lastly, I can’t even explain how much I die for these shoes. I bought them while we were in Chicago last week and I can’t wait to style them a million different ways this summer!

Did I mention Express has a site wide SALE going on today and my jeans, tank, cardigan and sunglasses are all 40% off today?!  Express has so many cute Spring and Summer essentials so it’s the perfect time to stock up!

I’m going on a field trip to a dairy farm with Brynleigh’s preschool class today. I’m definitely not much of a farm girl–shocker–so wish me luck, ha! I love being able to spend one-on-one time with each of the girls and Brynleigh is sooo excited about seeing all the cows “even if they are stinky”, lol! I hope you guys have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by! XOxO

Thank you to Express for Sponsoring this post!
