Galentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day has always been one of my favorite Holidays. I love celebrating love. I always loved giving Valentines to all of my friends in elementary school and having a class Valentine’s party and not much has changed. Since the girls were tiny, I’ve always given them little Valentine’s gift baskets filled with candy and little toys and candy hearts. The same goes for my friends. I love having a night out to celebrate “Galentine’s Day” with my girlfriends!

If you’ve been following me for a while you probably seen me with my friend Sarah a lot. We have been friends for so long and we used to be neighbors until she and her family moved to Nashville last year. It’s been hard and definitely an adjustment not seeing her as much. So this past week I was so excited because she was actually in town staying at the Le Meridian hotel in downtown Indy and we decided to have a little “Galentine’s Day” celebration! We ordered a heart shaped pizza from Papa Johns we actually ate it before we could get a picture of it, LOL! Had a little party in our hotel room. Now that I’m a mom, it’s so nice to get away sometimes and just hang out with my girl friends. We had so much fun just hanging out, goofing off and catching up on life!

It’s so much fun putting together little thoughtful “Galentine’s Day” gifts filled with nail polish, lip gloss, or face masks. This doesn’t have to be expensive and it’s so easy to do on a budget. My family has grocery shopped at Walmart for years (It’s probably my Dad’s favorite store, LOL) I always hit up the bath/beauty department when I’m there to stock up on all my favorite budget-friendly beauty products. This lipgloss has been one of my favorites for YEARS and it compares with any high-end gloss I’ve ever tried, it applies so smoothly and stays for a long time- best part is it’s under $10! This nail polish is one of my favorites and the shade “Ballet Slipper” and it’s the shade I have on my nails right now. I love it because it’s the perfect nude/pink, especially for Valentine’s Day! This Loreal eye shadow palette is GORGEOUS and similar to higher-end palettes I own but so much more affordable and the colors look good on any skin tone and makes the perfect gift.

A few more of my affordable faves I’m loving right now from Walmart are these Revlon matte lip creams, this Batiste Dry Shampoo (I’ve used this for years and truly love it more than expensive brands) and this NYX Makeup setting spray! Walmart also has tons of adorable Valentine’s balloons and gift bags to add the perfect finishing touch to any Galentine’s Day celebration! XO

Thank you to Walmart for sponsoring this post!
