Hairitage Q&A with Pantene

This blog post is sponsored by Pantene, but all opinions are my own.

As the girls continue to get older, I feel like it’s so important to pass on to them the little things that I’ve learned in my life.  Little tricks that make a big difference.  Things like there can never be enough butter!  Brielle just started cooking her own pancakes this week and we were working on when to put extra butter in the pan and how to watch the bubbles to know when to flip the pancakes.  I love that my girls love to create and love to cook!

Now that Brynleigh and Brielle are getting older, another thing that I am trying to pass on to them are little tricks about how to take care of themselves.  Specifically, their hair.  I’ve used Pantene products since I was a child. I can still remember my Mom using their shampoo when I was little! So when Pantene reached out to me and asked me to try the Pantene Nutrient Blends Hydrating Glow Collection with Baobab Essence and answer questions about my hairitage, I immediately thought of my girls as I have been passing on lessons of my own!

A little about the product line: The Hydrating Glow Collection is free of sulfates, parabens, dyes and mineral oil, which is so important as I prefer to use products without the extra chemicals for me and my girls. We use the Hydrating Glow Shampoo on our wash days and it gently cleanses without stripping for a healthy, natural glow. Next is the Hydrating Glow Conditioner which infuses hair with hydration to restore softness and shine! But what really stands out is the Hydrating Glow Serum, which noticeably repairs split ends for that healthy look we all strive for!

Pantene has helped to make our haircare routine so simple and effective.  The Pantene Hydrating Glow Collection makes our naturally curly hair silky, shiny and glowing!  The formula is amazing and so affordable! Pantene is a brand that I have used forever, I know that I can trust to take care of my girls’ hair!

Here are a few Q&As about my “hairitage”

How often do you wash your hair?

1-2 times a week at the most!  This is something I learned from my mom who I can distinctly remember talking about how she only washed/fully styled her hair once a week because that’s how you keep your hair healthy.  My mom has always had the most gorgeous, thick auburn hair and any beauty advice she gave me growing up I immediately listened too

What do you look for in products?

I always want my hair products to work and do what they are supposed to do obviously but I also care about the ingredients I’m using in my products and especially products for my children!   The Hydrating Glow Collection is free of sulfates, parabens, dyes and mineral oil, which is so important!

Question 3:

What is one thing your mom taught you about your hair you want to pass on to your daughters?

The one thing I remember my mom harping on is making sure she used an amazing conditioner and to never use too much heat on your hair!   I can remember her putting conditioner in her hair at the sink, leaving it in and wrapping her hair in a towel and letting it soak in while she did chores.

I hope you enjoyed learning more about our haircare routine with the girls. You can shop the Pantene Nutrient Blends Collection at Pantene.com here
