Bronze Eyes + Pink Glossy Lips for Summer!

Hi, Loves! We have been so busy the last week with my sister in town and the girls out of school- I’m so sorry I have been a little MIA!  We had so much fun while my sister Katie was here and just enjoyed time with family. Brynleigh and Brielle love their cousins and they always have so much fun together.

Anyways, today I wanted to share a quick and easy Summer makeup look with you guys. During the Summer, I generally like to keep my makeup looks a little more on the natural side. If you have followed me for a while on Instagram you know I have used/talked about NYX products for YEARS. Everything from their Butter glosses (these babies are like $5 and some of the best lip gloss I’ve ever used!) It is without a doubt my favorite drugstore brand. The quality of the makeup is truly amazing and it’s all so affordable.

A few weeks ago, I picked up a few new NYX products from Walmart and I’ve been experimenting with them. Recently I have been LOVING the combo of bronzed lids + pink glossy lips for Summer.  See the combo I’m loving below!

1. Nyx Lip Liner in shade Soft Spoken: First things first, I wear some form of lipstick or gloss pretty much everyday and I ALWAYS use a liner.  It defines your lips and makes them stand out.  Soft Spoken has been one of my favorite shades of lip liner for a long time, it’s a great pinky-plum shade but not too dark.

2. Nyx Lip Lingerie in shade “Baby Doll”: Next I apply the Lip Lingerie matte lip cream all over my lips including over my liner to blend it in so there are no harsh lines.  I also love this lip cream in the shade “Satin Ribbon”- it’s the perfect matte nude shade.

3. Nyx Butter Gloss in “Crème Brulee”:  Last, I applied the Nyx Butter gloss.  Guys, I can’t tell you enough how much I love this gloss.  It has been my go-to for years and it’s SO cheap.  It smells like cake and it isn’t sticky!   It’s pretty much perfect.  I think I own all the shades but my faves are Crème Brulee, Éclair, and Fortune Cookie.

Nyx “I Love You So Mochi” Eyeshadow Palette: This palette is SO gorgeous, you guys!  The colors are super pigmented and show up just as much as the shadows from more expensive palettes I own.  The shades don’t have names, they are just numbered on the back of the palette.

  1. I started by applying shade number 5, a gorgeous champagne color on my lids.
  2. Next I applied shade 4 in the crease of my eye in window wiper motions.
  3. I applied shade number 6 in the “outer v” of my eyes to make them look bigger and give them a subtle smokey-eye look.  Perfect for everyday!  You could easily take this eye look from day to night by adding a darker shade in the “outer v”.
  4. I used the Nyx Liquid liner to line my upper lash line
  5. Lastly, I applied the Nyx Doll Eyes mascara in the shade black.  I do have lash extensions and I love them!  I try to be very careful when applying mascara so I don’t disturb them too much, I try to just apply it on the ends of my lashes.

Nyx HD Concealer in the shade Nude Beige: I always like to clean up under my eyes with concealor just to get rid of any eye shadow fall-out. I swiped a tiny bit of this under my eyes after applying the shadow and blended it in with a damp makeup sponge. I’ve been using the Nyx HD concealer for YEARS and it’s one of my favorites! I love that it doesn’t crease and it covers dark circles seamlessly.

Nyx Matte Makeup Setting Spray: For the last step I sprayed this lightly over my face to set my makeup. I’ve been using setting spray for years and I always recommend using it as your last step when applying your makeup. Something about it just makes makeup look so much more natural. I LOOOOOVE setting sprays and I’m always on the hunt to try new ones and this one is SO good. My makeup lasted all day and stayed matte!

Thanks for reading, Babes! Let me know in the comments if you have any questions! I’m linking some of my other fave Nyx products available at Walmart below! XO
